Equipment
The equipment is a little different. There is bridles, Halters, Saddles, Girths, and so on. There are two types of saddles there is the western and the english. The Western saddle has a horn on the front and the stirrup strap is wider. On the english saddle it doesn’t have the horn its bare and then the stirrup straps are thinner. For the saddles the back of the western is taller it supports you more and the english has a shorter back since you move around in the english saddle more. The bridles are definitely different. For the english bridle there is a strap that goes behind and infront of both ears. For the western bridle there is the same strap but it only covers one ear. On the bridles there is a piece that goes in the horse's mouth that is called the bit. It assists the rider to help communicate with the horse. The girth is a strap that connects to each side of the saddle. The girths purpose is to keep the saddle in place and to keep it on the horse. For under the saddles there is the saddle pad. The saddle pad is there for cushioning between the saddles and the horses back. For the western equipment and english there is a breast collar that hooks on each side of the saddle on then underneath onto the girth.
